Welcome to Share This Forward (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing, receiving, or participating in any way with our Kindness Tokens, Kindness Notes, or our website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our products or website.
1. Purpose of Share This Forward
Share This Forward is a project designed to spread positivity through small acts of kindness. Our Tokens and Notes are intended to be shared forward to others to inspire uplifting connections. Each Token or Note includes:
A unique message chosen at random (customers may not select specific messages).
A unique ID number and QR code.
Instructions to “Scan the QR, Share this token, Watch its journey!”
While each Token or Note includes a randomly selected message, certain messages may appear on more than one Token or Note. However, each Token or Note always carries its own unique QR code and ID number.
2. Products and Purchases
We sell Kindness Tokens and Kindness Notes in multiple tier quantities. Each item includes a unique or random uplifting message.
We cannot guarantee which specific message(s) you will receive.
Each Token or Note includes a unique ID and QR code used to track sharing activity on our Site.
Shipping: We currently offer free shipping on all orders within the United States. Delivery times may vary.
Taxes: Sales tax is collected on all orders as required by applicable state and local laws. Any applicable taxes will be calculated and added at checkout based on the shipping address provided.
All sales are final unless otherwise required by law.
3. Product Variations and Craft Details
Note: Golden envelopes and heart stickers may vary slightly from the photos. Envelope and sticker colors can differ (e.g., gold or silver envelopes; silver or red stickers), and future batches may include other colors—each made with the same care and meaning. Kindness Tokens currently come in multiple colors (white, black, red, blue, green), and future batches may include additional or different colors; token labels are currently silver but may vary in future batches. Kindness Notes are typically black, but future batches may include other colors.
4. Accounts and User Content
You may create an account on our Site to track your Tokens/Notes, participate in leaderboards, and share stories.
By scanning a QR code, you may be asked to provide your postal code and optionally share a written story, image, or video link (e.g., YouTube, TikTok).
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You represent and warrant that you own the rights to any content you upload, and that your content does not infringe on the rights of others or violate any laws.
By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, share, and distribute your content in connection with Share This Forward (including on maps, leaderboards, and social media).
We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion if it is inappropriate, offensive, or harmful.
5. Leaderboard and Points System
Users may earn points through scans of Tokens or Notes. For example:
First scan of a Token/Note = +110 points
Each additional scan of that Token/Note = +10 points
Leaderboard rankings are for entertainment and community engagement only. They do not hold monetary or redeemable value.
We may modify or discontinue the leaderboard system at any time.
6. Location Data
Our Site uses Leaflet mapping software to display the journey of Tokens and Notes.
By scanning a QR code, you consent to the collection and display of your postal code, city, region, and country on the map.
Exact addresses are never displayed. Location information is generalized for privacy and community safety.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site (logos, designs, text, images, maps, software, and products) is owned by or licensed to Share This Forward.
You may not reproduce, copy, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of our Site or products without prior written consent.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Share This Forward or our products for:
Any unlawful purpose
Harassment, abuse, or harm toward others
Uploading harmful or infringing content (including offensive, hateful, obscene, or illegal material)
Reverse engineering or tampering with our QR code, token IDs, or website systems
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our Tokens and Notes are intended for inspiration, kindness, and personal enjoyment only.
We make no guarantees that use of our Tokens or Notes will have a specific outcome.
The Site and products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Share This Forward shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of our products, website, or services.
This includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Share This Forward, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of our products or website, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Email Communications and Preferences
By creating an account, you agree that we may send you transactional and informational emails (such as order confirmations, account updates, or Token journey notifications).
When you register, Notification emails (for Token scans, stories, and journey updates) and Marketing emails (for new Tokens, community stories, or promotions) are enabled by default.
You can manage or opt out of either channel at any time using the “Manage Preferences” page or the unsubscribe link included in every message. You can also visit your My Account page at any time to manage or disable one or both email types.
We respect your inbox and your privacy; we never sell or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with the “Last Updated” date revised. Continued use of our products or website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
