How Kindness Points Work: Click Here

First scan bonus: The first logged-in person to scan a new Token of Kindness earns +100 Kindness Points (one-time per token).

When someone scans a Token of Kindness:

  • The scanner (their first time with that token) earns +10 Kindness Points.

  • The token’s first scanner earns +10 Kindness Points when someone else scans it.

Sparks (weekly goal): Every valid scan also creates 1 Spark (one per scan—credited to the scanner if logged in, otherwise to the token’s first scanner).

Weekly goal bonus: During each 7-day window, Sparks accumulate. If we reach the weekly goal together, each participant’s Sparks convert into a bonus of +5 Kindness Points per Spark. (If the goal isn’t reached, Sparks don’t convert and a fresh weekly goal begins.)

Quick recap: Kindness Points = your personal score. Sparks = scans you’re part of that can turn into bonus Kindness Points when our community reaches our goal.
